I started the “About Me” post over a dozen times…and used the backspace key over six dozen. I earnestly attempted to find the right words, phrases, snapshots, stories and so on in an effort to grab any reader’s attention. Then it occurred to me,” how the h.e. double hockey sticks am I supposed to do that?” Being a conscious part of this divine consciousness of mine cannot and shall not be condensed to a hot 16 bars, as in music, my lyrics are living and breathing experiences. Each day I become who I am, so it’s kind of hard for me to wrap that in a tight bow sometimes. I am excited though to see how you all come to know me, well perceive me is a better way to say that. The plan is for me to be authentic and work to be all the things that are required of a meaningful and effective therapist/client therapeutic relationship. Mutual respect, rapport, vulnerability, honesty, trust, and confidentiality must be present in the relationship. These are just a few of the things that help create positive and at times challenging interactions during sessions. The goal here is for you all to help me become the most effective therapist that I can be, so that in turn I can serve you better. Its a beautiful learn and grow cycle, don’t you think? Living my life in my own skin and then sitting in a session with a client in this same skin is an interesting experience. I am proud and humble in the same breath. Proud to be a competent and effective therapist and humbled at the fact that I have so much to learn from others and their experiences. I love living in #Nashville, I love my community, and I love serving my community. Let’s get better together. #Nashvilletherapist
