One of my primary goals for this year is to build couples clientele. I truly love individual therapy, but it something about couples therapy that I find utterly intriguing. My first completed read for the year 2021 is The Mindful Couple by Craig and Debbie Lambert. This book provided 52, surprisingly simple, strategies that a couple at any stage in their relationship could find useful. I am currently a part of the dating pool…in other words…I’m single lol and I was able to gather many jewels to takeaway. For example, tip #17 suggest that the secret to having the best relationship for you is to believe that you can receive it through the law of attraction. Being that I am a true proponent of mindfulness and the power of our thoughts, this really resonated with me. I chose to really reflect on my past and present thoughts about relationships and what I have previously attracted into my space. This book was very insightful for clinical and personal practice alike. For those couples looking to do something different for Valentine’s Day, pick this up and be creative. The long-term results may surprise you. Peace out my loves βπΎπ
