This girl loves ๐ love, so when I stumbled upon an activity that encouraged me to write love notes to myself, it should go without saying that I was all over it. Here’s the premise: cut a sheet of paper into several strips, as many daily love notes as you would like to create. For example, if you want love notes for 2 weeks, you will need 14 strips of paper. On the strips, write love notes to yourself, this should be anything that promotes self love and self care. Do something nice for yourself. Grab a drink at the bar, buy something special, etc. be spontaneous and adventurous. Don’t back out! Do it! (this is written on the love note that I picked yesterday). Now here comes the fun part, after you have your love notes drafted, fold the strips of paper into equally sized squares and place them in a sandwich bag, small container, or your own idea…be creative. Everyday around the same time (or whenever you’d like) pick a love note and follow through on it for the day. Simple yet very effective!! If your love note for the day encourages you to show compassion to yourself and others, do just that in whatever form the opportunity arrives. As for me, I took myself up on the opportunity to grab a drink and I brought a book along with me. The Buddha’s Way of Happiness is my second read for the month of January and it is providing insight as well as practical ideas of practice for all walks of life. I’m on chapter 4 of 7, full review coming soon. Thought I’d share an activity that I found to be enjoyable, light, and meaningful. Peace out loves โ๐โฎ
