Shedding. Old beliefs and new adventures. I like the version of myself that I am with you…I chose to step out of my own way. Past Ashley was preventing present Ashley from fully emerging, painfully unaware that she, who is I, was the barrier to moving forward. I had become bogged down by the details, the feelings of responsibility for making all things work together had become an overwhelming load to carry. Imagine each worry and/or experience as a brick, each one stack one upon another on your back. How do you see yourself, your posture, are you able to stand at all? That was me. Now imagine that you allow, the operative word being allow, those same experiences to become stepping stones that elevate you to the next level in your life. I recently shared this illustration with a client and had the opportunity to reflect on my own thought and behavioral patterns. The analogy sparked a thought process, reflective space, and an opportunity to accountable action. This can also be referred to as inspiration…inspiration stems from the Latin word “inspirare” which mean to breathe in or inhale. I was inspired to do that, breath in the version of myself that I have subtly and gradually become. Placing mindful attention on myself has been transformative. Self care, meditation, yoga, and other mindful practices have impacted my perspective, reality, and quality of living.

Ashley 2.0. Stay tuned ✨
